ABC’s 20/20 will be airing a special tonight dealing with distracted driving. As anchor Chris Cuomo said, “Distracted driving is one of the most IGNORED problems. It the ONLY traffic safety problem that’s getting WORSE.” (Capitalization done for emphasis only). We have to get the message out there. GMA anchor, Robin Roberts, announced the astonishing distracted driving stats:
- 450,000 injuries per year
- 5,500 deaths per year
- 24,000 crashes due to cellphones
Source: NHTSA
This is a huge problem. Be sure to watch the special.

We would like to recognize and thank our sticker supplier, WebSticker.com for choosing us – Live Now Text Later for their monthly “Sticking with You” program. Each month WebSticker.com chooses an organization or cause to support. They have chosen some very worthy causes since the program’s inception, SO we are extremely happy to be among the causes selected. Their support means that we can get this message out to more drivers, raising awareness about the dangers of texting while driving.

Now that the new LNTL stickers are available, it’s time to do away with the old stickers. Removing a decal from your auto body or glass takes time and “elbow grease”. Before getting started you’ll need:
Hair dryer
Fingernail polish remover
Rubbing alcohol
Hand towel
Water
Plastic scraper
First, dampen the hand towel and gently wipe away and dirt of debris from the decal area.
Using a high setting and holding the hair dryer approximately two inches away from the decal, heat the decal to loosen the adhesive.
Next, use the plastic scraper to peel away the decal. Be careful not to scratch the auto body or glass. You will likely need to continue applying heat to keep the adhesive pliable.
Once the decal is removed, use the towel to apply fingernail polish remover to the remaining glue. Scrub in a circular motion until glue remnants are no longer visible.
Dampen the towel with water again. Wipe away fingernail polish remover.
Lastly, gently apply a small amount of alcohol to the area to make sure it is clean.
If the area is discolored, applying a small amount of car polish should help.

As stated in an earlier post, we are currently restructuring our website. Restructuring a website is a process. We are still working out some of the issues with the new design. The projected date of completion is Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Until then, some of the links may appear broken. The new design will allow us more flexibility and allow for more user features.
We will begin offering users the opportunity to purchase “Live now. Text later.” decals and car magnets from the site with FREE shipping.
Thank you for your continued support.

Our state legislature (North Carolina) is considering a ban on all cell phone use while driving.
Too harsh?
To date, NO state bans all cell phone use. Some states do limit cell phone use by novice drivers. Tell us what you think. See Governor’s Highway Safety Association site for individual state laws.
